July on the Road: Summer Festivals, Live Music & New Memories
July has been one of the busiest months of my summer, packed with festivals, live performances and plenty of miles on the road. From hometown shows in Essex to festival stages across the country, it's been a month full of unforgettable moments and a real reminder of why I love performing live.
As an independent UK country singer-songwriter, every show brings something different, and this month certainly kept me on my toes!
A highlight of July was returning to Foodies Festival, performing at both Tatton Park and Winchester as part of the festival's live music line-up.
Foodies Festival is always a fantastic mix of great food, family entertainment and live music, attracting thousands of visitors throughout the summer. It was a privilege to perform alongside so many talented artists and see so many people enjoying live music in the sunshine.
Winchester, in particular, brought glorious weather, fantastic crowds and an amazing atmosphere. Seeing people singing along and enjoying the set is always one of the most rewarding parts of performing, and weekends like these remind me why I love festival season so much.
July also saw me perform at Bay Days Festival in Chelmsford, my hometown.
Known primarily as a rock and heavy music festival, Bay Days introduced a dedicated folk and acoustic stage this year, creating a relaxed space for festival-goers to unwind while enjoying live acoustic performances.
It was a real pleasure to be part of something a little different and perform for both familiar faces and new audiences throughout the afternoon.
One thing that never changes is that every performance has its own story. Behind every festival appearance are rehearsals, travelling, planning and plenty of hard work from everyone involved. As an independent artist, every show is a team effort, and I'm incredibly grateful to my band, crew, event organisers and everyone who helps make these performances possible. Live music isn't always predictable, but that's part of what makes it so special.
As July comes to a close, I'm feeling incredibly grateful for every opportunity to share my music with audiences across the UK.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to a show, stopped to listen, sang along, or introduced themselves afterwards. Your support means the world and allows independent artists like me to keep creating, performing and doing what we love.
I'm already looking forward to what's coming next, with more live dates, festivals and exciting projects on the horizon.
