Nights like this remind me why I do it, live music at its simplest: good people, good energy, and songs finding their way into the room.

Finishing this run in an intimate live music venue, surrounded by familiar faces, reminded me that scale doesn’t equal impact.

Sometimes the smallest stage holds the biggest moment.

You rehearse for weeks. You pour everything into 40 minutes. And then it’s over in a blink — guitars back in cases, amps off, hugs, tired smiles, adrenaline slowly fading on the long drive home.

I’ve heard Eddy Smith perform before and he blows me away. Every. Single. Time. Plus tonight I’m playing my brand new single (out in three weeks time), I had a dream about playing a cover of ‘Landslide’ that I’ve learnt specially. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt whilst working in the music industry it’s to trust my gut, and just go with it.
