You Were Right is a reflective song. Being in a city like Rome, surrounded by history and stories that have lasted far longer than a single moment or feeling, put that into perspective in a way I didn’t expect.

Last week, I had the privilege of performing for Racing Pride.

“Petty in Pink” is officially on its way.

Nights like this remind me why I do it, live music at its simplest: good people, good energy, and songs finding their way into the room.

To everyone who bought a ticket, entered the raffle, shared a post, dragged a mate along, or sang louder than usual — thank you.

Finishing this run in an intimate live music venue, surrounded by familiar faces, reminded me that scale doesn’t equal impact.

Sometimes the smallest stage holds the biggest moment.

Thank you to Rebecca for inviting me into such a special celebration, and to Read on Sea for championing both authors and live music. If you were there, you made it unforgettable.

You rehearse for weeks. You pour everything into 40 minutes. And then it’s over in a blink — guitars back in cases, amps off, hugs, tired smiles, adrenaline slowly fading on the long drive home.

The same reminder: live music in the UK is alive and well.

I’ve heard Eddy Smith perform before and he blows me away. Every. Single. Time. Plus tonight I’m playing my brand new single (out in three weeks time), I had a dream about playing a cover of ‘Landslide’ that I’ve learnt specially. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt whilst working in the music industry it’s to trust my gut, and just go with it.
