February on the Road: Live Gigs, New Rooms & BBC Essex
February has always felt like the month where the year properly begins. The diary fills up. The new songs find their feet. The miles stack up and this one was no different.
After a winter of writing and planning, February 2026 was about getting back in front of real people in real rooms — doing what I’ve always enjoyed: playing live.
If you’ve been following along with the individual gig write-ups, this is the round-up. If you’re new here (hello 👋), here’s what the month looked like.
Back Out on the UK Live Circuit
There’s something about the first few shows of the year. You can rehearse all you like, but nothing replaces that first moment under stage lights when the chatter dips and the first chord rings out.
Across February I played a mix of:
• Intimate acoustic sets
• Full-band country-pop shows
• Returning venues and brand-new rooms
• Listening audiences and lively Friday night crowds
Each gig had its own personality. That’s the joy of being a touring singer-songwriter in the UK — no two nights are the same.
On Air with BBC Essex
One of the highlights of the month was my interview with BBC Essex.
Local radio has always mattered to me. It’s community. It’s connection. It’s the places that supported me long before playlists and algorithms were a thing.
The interview gave us the chance to talk about:
• My journey as a UK country-pop artist
• The February run of live shows
• New music on the horizon
• The heart and soul of my version of country music
There’s something beautifully grounding about sitting in a radio studio and having a proper conversation about the craft. No filters. Just music and honesty.
If you tuned in — thank you. If you missed it, make sure you can catch up soon!
Every month on the road teaches me something. February reminded me:
• Live music still matters — deeply.
• Smaller rooms can be just as powerful as festival stages.
• Growth isn’t always loud; sometimes it’s steady and quiet.
• Consistency beats hype every time.
As an independent UK singer-songwriter, you build brick by brick. Gig by gig. Interview by interview. And this month felt like another solid layer.
⸻
February was about momentum. March and beyond are about building on it.
More live dates.
More storytelling.
More chances to connect in person.
If you’ve been at a show recently — thank you for being in the room.
If you’re planning to come to one soon — I can’t wait to see you.
And if you’re just discovering my music through the blog (SEO doing its job 😉), welcome. Have a look around. Start with the gig stories. That’s where the real heart of it lives.
See you down the road,
